Luis A. Rivera Rodriguez, MD, joined IMA Medical Group (IMA) in 2026 as a Primary Care Physician. With over 10 years of experience in delivering high-quality healthcare , he is a patient-focused provider dedicated to improving health outcomes through evidence-based medicine and data-driven decision-making.

Before joining IMA, Dr. Rivera served as a Primary Care Physician in a clinic in Poinciana, Florida, where he also held the role of Medical Director from 2023 to 2024. During his tenure, he specialized in both Value-Based Care and Fee-for-Service models, focusing on reducing healthcare utilization while enhancing patient satisfaction and medication adherence. His diverse clinical background also includes serving as a Grant Specialist for the Pinellas County Department of Health and completing a comprehensive medical internship at Hospital HIMA San Pablo in Puerto Rico, with rotations in internal medicine, intensive care, and emergency medicine.

Dr. Rivera earned his Doctor in Medicine from Universidad Central Del Este (UCE) in the Dominican Republic. He holds medical licenses in both Florida and Puerto Rico and is a member of the Puerto Rico College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is professionally bilingual in English and Spanish.
